I recently added this to my collection. I purchased this medal after performing a quick research and made the purchase after locating both the awardee and awarder mentioned in a news clipping.
Unique 1893 medal awarded to J.M.S Williams from the “Association des Chimistes de Sucrerie et de Distillerie” (Association of Chemists – Sugars and Distilleries) located in Paris, France.
Mr. J.M.S Williams received this medal for his research and work on Hawaiian sugarcane.

This medal is 44 mm in diameter. The obverse identifies J.M.S Williams and the year of the award.

The reverse identifies “Association des Chimistes de Sucrerie et de Distillerie” (Association of Chemists – Sugars and Distilleries) of Paris (France).
