2M-313 is Cupro Nickel
Based on what I noticed with the 1979 Maui Coin Club Medals, Medcalf & Russell may have incorrectly identified the medal as aluminum for 2M-313. Why? I have a cupro nickel version of the medal in my collection
The cupro nickel is on the left and the silver is on the right.

Remember Pearl Harbor “Homefront” Pocket Coins
Sneak peak of an exhibit I’m developing. It has the actual magazine with the first ad ever that advertises these “pocket coins”. Not shown is a discovery that I made of a new variety.
See https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinCustomSetView.aspx?s=12054 for the results of my original research.

2M-310 and 2M-311 Father (now Saint) Damien
Another trifecta in the Maui Coin Club (MCC) medals (silver, bronze, and aluminum) series. This is the 1978 MCC medals.
I’m venturing a guess that these MCC medals predates 2M-80 thru 2M-83 (struck to celebrate the 100th anniversary memorial of Saint Damien). However, the 1976 Molokai Municipal dollar seems to be the earliest Hawaiian numismatic item to have an image of Saint Damien.
Each of the medals mentioned would make an interesting exhibit
The MCC medals are incorrectly sized in Medcalf & Russell as 40 mm (it’s actually 38 mm).

32 mm is known only to be struck in bright bronze. This white metal specimen is unknown and not previously documented.
Issued in 1976 by the Hawaiian Trading Company. Designed by Jim Dean. Engraver is E.W (only initials known). Speculative belief of HM hallmark is that it stands for “The Hamilton Mint”.
